// Dyrdek Collection Launch //

It all starts with an idea, doesn't it? Rob has a remarkable talent for generating ideas, and his concept of a weightless experience—a parabolic flight—cleverly tied to the theme of "launch," proved to be an extraordinary campaign initiative. During the peak of the MTV series "The Fantasy Factory," Rob and DC embarked on a venture to launch a collection of apparel and footwear asthetically designed by Rob himself. Leading up to this launch, several episodes featured Rob and his friends exploring various concepts for the collaboration. While scripted and staged initial attempts on the television show didn't quite meet Rob’s expectations, the culmination of the Zero-G experience emerged as a resounding success.

The still photographic composite execution was my responsibility while MTV and DC Films shot the video content for their platforms. I photographed the interior of the plane 2 days prior to the flight while it was stationary. We went through a couple classroom training sessions and toured the Houston Nasa facilities the next day and finally the flight on the third morning. In the end, the TV show, The DC Films video (below) and the key visual design (above) were the cornerstones of the campaign. This mission not only provided a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all involved but also became a memorable highlight of the Fantasy Factory series.
